At 1 Life we understand the complexity of managing workplace safety, so we have designed these consulting services to support you:
Safety Management System Gap Analysis
This service has been designed for companies with existing Safety Management Systems. The Gap Analysis will be conducted using the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Division’s “Assessment Tool” or the COR (Certificate of Recognition) Audit Instrument. You will receive:
- A detailed report measuring your compliance with the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
- A report describing the strengths and vulnerabilities of your company operations. I.e. where your organization is vulnerable to a serious loss to your people, property, processes and the environment.
- Recommendations for prioritizing corrective action.

Monthly or Quarterly Support
A qualified Safety Professional will be designated to your organization and provide a ½ day of onsite support. You will receive:
- A review of your Safety Management System providing feedback on your organizations strengths and vulnerabilities. Examples of items that may be reviewed are:
- Incident and near miss reports
- Hazard assessment and controls
- Incident investigation reports
- Workplace inspections
- PPE Program
- Supervision, enforcement and disciplinary action
- Employee Training program
- Function of the WSH Committee or Representative
- Documentation and Due Diligence
- Return to Work
- A workplace walkthrough and inspection report with suggested corrective action.
- A 30 minute Safety Talk with any of your employees on a relevant topic that adds value to your Safety Management System.
